Want to use your PPL on a quick, fun local flight? Within 45 minutes flying from Lilydale is the Tiger Moth Adventure Park at Torquay just off the Great Ocean Road.
There are lots of fun things to do for the whole family! From mini golf to the flying fox, Giant Tiger Moth Playpark, bikes, volleyball, chip & giggle or canoe in the Pirates lagoon. Pilots can relax with a coffee and a snack, stroll through "Moth Balls" - our Tiger Moth Museum - or kick back and watch these beautiful old aeroplanes come and go from the grass airfield.
WHY NOT COME ALONG?
Pilots - if you haven't been there before the airstrip can be a little tricky - why not join other pilots and LFS instructors on a fun day outing there involving a thorough pre-brief, wee nav trial, barbeque and swim?
Non pilots - why not come along for the ride? There will be lots of things to do and, depending on your crew, you may be able to squeeze in a flypast of the 12 Apostles from the air - one of Australia's true wonders.

Joyrides in these rare and beautiful planes are available including gentle aerobatics for the adventurous.
(Left) The 12 Apostles stretch along Port Campbell the South-East coast of Australia. This coast is known for its notorious seas, which have claimed in the past over fifty vessels. The twelve Apostles, which are huge stacks of rock, have been formed after years of the sea eroding the cliffs. Now the twelve apostles stand only metres from the edge of the cliffs. The twelve apostles bring people from all over the world to see their beauty, which will be there for years to come.
