This
beautifully restored Lockeed 12 Electra Junior was operated by BHP back
in the 1950s and bore the name 'Silver City' on its nose. The Electra was
the ultimate in corporate aircraft just after WW2, boasting nearly 200kts
performance on 2 450hp Pratt & Whitney radial engines. In front of it
is today's pick of corporate aircraft, a Beech Super King Air which is good
for about 280kts at 25,000ft, powered by 2 850shp Pratt & Whitney turboprops.
