Colonel
(ret) Keith Hatfield was one of Lilydale's distinguished guests, along with
his wife Delcia. Keith flew as a forward air controller in US T-6 Texans
during the Korean War and was on one occasion shot down! Luckily, both Keith
and the pilot parachuted to safety and were able to run back to UN lines
before the North Koreans could grab them. In more recent times, he ran Casey
airfield in Berwick.
