| "This aircraft provided 'top cover' for convoys, as well as a first strike aircraft for incidents in the West Nicholson/Beit Brige area of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) during the bush war in the 1970s. The Browning machine guns were fired by solenoids activated by the PTT button the control yoke. The aircraft saw a fair amount of combat and its pilot/owner received the Meritious Conduct Medal for his efforts. At the end of the war in 1982 the aircraft was returned to its civilian state."
