Beechcraft A36 Bonanza
Lilydale is fortunate in operating four Beechcraft A36 Bonanzas. These high performance aircraft are some of just a handful available for private hire in the country which is why we demand a high degree of professional airmanship before making them available to hire including experience on type (or similar) and an instrument rating.
These high standards are the main reason why Lufthansa, KLM, Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines use them to train their airline pilots.

Beech Bonanza History
The first "straight tail" Model 33 first flew in 1959 as the Debonair, a derivative of the original V-tail Bonanzas and only differed in its tail surface. Successive versions offered more power, higher weights and extra cabin space before the last significant change, a fuselage "stretch" was developed in 1968.
The Model 36 stretched the fuselage ahead of the wing and added large cargo doors at the rear of the aircraft. As well as improving the aircraft's weight and balance, it also boosted the useful load to make it a genuine Pilot + 4/5 aircraft. Apart from minor engine, avionics and interior refinements, our aircraft are identical to those still being produced today.
