Beechcraft D95A & E95 Travelair
Lilydale operates two of these gentle twin-engine aircraft for twin-training and general charter work. Derived from the Bonanzas, they offer very similar performance and handling characteristics, making them an ideal transition aircraft for a confident Bonanza pilot.

General Aircraft Information
The first Model 95 Travelair flew in 1956 with the main differences being two 180hp Lycoming engines instead of a single 225 hp Continental, longer wings and a squared-off vertical tail. Later versions saw the cabin stretched to seat Pilot+4/5 passengers + baggage while fuel injection was added to the engines.
The similar Model 55 Baron was developed in 1960 but although these have more powerful engines, they only fly 15-20 kts faster and their payload/range suffers. The more powerful engines also makes them much less economical than the Travelair however it is covered by the same type-rating.
