Updated Advice

Lilydale Flying School is remaining open and operational at this time

LFS recognises that pilot skills (especially when learning) degrade as time passes between flights and that our clients have invested or plan to invest considerable amounts of money, time and effort to complete their pilot qualifications.

At this time, the best advice we have from Victorian and Federal Governments is that flying lessons continue to be deemed as educational and may continue under the current restrictions.

We will be taking additional precautions, including:

- Cleaning and sanitising aircraft before flying each day and between lessons
- Limiting the number of people in the LFS office at any one time to six (6)
- Clients (and staff) are asked to stay at home if they are showing any signs of illness including a runny nose, fever, cough or sore throat
- Face masks will be available for those who wish to wear them

Alternatively, or in addition, it’s fine to ask your instructor to wear a mask

We will also continue to hire out aircraft for solo flying to those wishing to maintain recency and/or fly for business.

Lastly, we understand each of our clients’ individual circumstances may or may not allow them to recommence their training. Please feel free to call our office to discuss your pathway at any time.

Thank you for your ongoing support!
